Dr. Victoria Ferreira joined Riverside Eye Care in September of 2024. She offers a comprehensive range of services, from routine eye exams to specialized treatments for complex ocular conditions. Dr. Ferreira also provides specialized services, including dry eye management, specialty scleral lens fittings, and myopia management.
Dr. Ferreira, a Connecticut native, began her career in eye care as an optometric technician, gaining hands-on experience that solidified her passion for personalized patient care. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Saint Joseph in 2019 and went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2023.
During her optometric training, Dr. Ferreira completed clinical rotations at the West Haven VA Medical Center and a private ophthalmology practice, Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut, where she received extensive experience in the diagnosis, management, and co-management of complex ocular diseases and surgical cases.
After earning her degree, Dr. Ferreira pursued a residency in ocular disease at The Eye Institute at Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she received advanced training in the management of ocular conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, ocular emergencies, and other complex eye diseases.
Dr. Ferreira is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and an active member of the Connecticut Association of Optometrists (CAO), reflecting her dedication to clinical excellence, professional development, and advancing the field of optometry.
Outside of work, Dr. Ferreira enjoys hiking, relaxing at the beach, exploring coffee shops, and traveling to new destinations. Time with friends and family is a priority, fueling a grounded and well-rounded approach to both life and career.
